💫 001 ; morning of the 8th.

Now that school’s out and we’ve got the summer all to ourselves how’s about kicking it off the right way… with a backyard BBQ. On the 19th I’m hosting a big ass get together and you’re all invited. That’s right, all of you, ‘cause it wouldn’t be a party if there weren’t a shitload of people everywhere. FYI, it’s a potluck, [ surprise? ] so bring a little something to share with the class. Don’t care what it is, to be honest, as long as we have something to eat alongside all the beef, chicken, fish, hotdogs, sausage, and kabobs… because who the hell doesn’t like saying that.

Bring a bathing suit ‘cause I have a pool with a slide and, if you’re feeling adventurous, a trampoline. [ maybe he should consider having everybody sign a waiver on the way in… ]

( ooc; there is going to be a party at the peter household on the 19th, which is also when a plot related shitstorm is going to happen. characters MIGHT die at the party and now we know why. there's a possibility that attendees may get attacked by animals ( or friends ) but if you'd like to avoid that they can certainly bang out early. i’m going to see about getting the log up asap… and by asap i mean this weekend. )

Does that mean Linda is invited too? Because I'm not sure her poor heart can take an actual party.

[His amusement sounds a bit forced, but he's trying.]

[ he opens his mouth to respond, but then closes it, because he clearly hadn't thought this through. he just inadvertently invited linda to his house and he was going to have to pray to every god ever that she didn't show up. ]

Is it too late to retract my invitation?

I bet she's already planning what she wants to bring.

[Although you've got almost two weeks to sabotage her. It's possible.]

[ he blows out a sigh as he rubs his palm over his face. ] Don't say that, man. I don't need her poisoning my guests or starting a war of the brownies.

[He snorts, shaking his head.]

We're doomed, clearly. Though I'm sure whatever party we make will be far too cool for her. She doesn't really seem like the type of person to take not being the center of attention very well.

Doomed sounds about right. [ but his remark about her needing to be the center of attention gets him thinking... and then he's smiling all of a sudden. ] I think I know how I can solve this little... problem, and everybody'll win. [ he's going to push her into the pool. she'll become the center of attention, he'll get a laugh, and then she'll probably leave. ] Oh man, Nyx, this is going to be good.
