So I have a few nonsense questions.

[ The video opens to that statement, from Cassian, who is leaning against the back kitchen door to Go Ask Alice, shirtsleeves rolled up to his elbows and a little bit of flour smeared on the blue of his collar. That's about all you can see of him, however, because he's holding the device instead of having it propped up on a close by surface. ]

I imagine many of you won't care about this at all. [ He gives a one-handed shrug. What can you do? ] Perhaps you can humor me, or something.

What does the name Alice make you think of?

What would you call a tea shop?

[ Yup. He wants to change the name and has decided to open the floor to...you, people of Wayward Pines.

Maybe our ideas of a tea shop don’t quite align. What kind of tea would you be selling?

White teas, black teas, green teas. You know. Dried leaves that you brew in hot water?

Obviously. [ that’s what tea is?? organics like the weirdest things... ] Well then, I don’t know — the Wet Leaf. It strives for accuracy.

It's also a bit...uninteresting.

But I'll keep it in mind.

I didn’t know what kind of tea you were deaing in! That’s different. And I can’t imagine why, unless your droid friend has impeccable naming tastes.

Well while there are many kinds of tea...tea is universally one sort of thing, I think.

A beverage, I mean.

[ Cassian makes a thoughtful sound. ]

The Priceless Piston is the sort of thing Kay would've suggested. If he were feeling nice.

But also: why ARE there so many humans here? There's more than just humans in the galaxy, as far as Cassian knows. ]

Good question. How are you with, say, automobiles? Same basic concepts, hmm?

[ starting the video with that particular line is almost too inviting for five to ignore, even given the fact that cassian is probably right, that five won't care.

and yet- ] Alice? It makes me think of white rabbits, card soldiers and vanishing cats. So more or less one hell of a drug trip, though that's not really my area of expertise.

Sorry, I can't really answer your tea shop question though. Except that I'm not really all that sorry.

Mhm. [ Cassian nods. He gets all of that, honestly. ] And yet...not quite the impression I wish to make with the tea shop.

Are you a coffee person, then?

Might not be the worst idea to keep in the back of your mind, though. You know, in case you're ever looking for a boost in clientele for the place. There'd definitely be a fiercely loyal customer base in it for you.

[ it's a joke. probably ]

Yeah, [ There's a ghost of a smile there. ] I can think of a few 'loyal customers' who would probably be interested.

Well, there is coffee here too, though usually, I'm the only one drinking it.

I can guarantee you that my brother would be one of your best customers. [ he pauses there a moment, and then shakes his head ] You know what? You're right. Alice definitely gives the wrong impression.

Well, if your coffee's at least decent, you can count me in.

You're Klaus' brother, right?

[ Cassian isn't sure that he could get his hands on anything Klaus would consider better than what the man already has access to, but what does he know? ]

Haven't had a complaint yet, but I'll take constructive criticism if you feel it's necessary.
