[There's not a lot of warning. They'll be covering the town and going full-blown attack mode in just a few minutes.

But Laura is at least content to help even one person with those precious minutes.

[Hi, teacher. She gives pause to listen to the creaking sounds of the beasts on the roof.

Maybe if she didn't remember so much, she'd be afraid. But -- she's not. Her memories don't let her.]

I can't let them come in. Esta es mi casa. It's -- It's Dad's house.

[He's gone, so that means she needs to make sure this house stays safe. Not just for the other girls living here, but for her dad's memory, even if it makes her chest hurt.]
